Ingredients
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
a couple large handfuls of fresh green beans, as many as you want to make
1 cup flour
1 cup plain panko bread crumbs
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/8 garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
canola oil for frying (enough to cover beans – about 2 inches or a deep fryer)
Preparation Instructions
Wash and trim your beans (cut ends).
Mix beaten egg with milk in a shallow bowl.
Measure flour into another shallow bowl, add all spices and mix well.
Combine bread crumbs and spices on a plate.
Take a handful of beans, shake excess water, and coat with flour.
Then dip, one at a time, into egg/milk mixture, them back into flour, then egg/milk mixture
Roll into the breadcrumb mixture. Be sure to cover the whole bean.
Place coated beans on a plate, ready to be fried.
Heat oil to about 350 degrees F in a heavy skillet or deep fryer to 350 degrees F
Fry until golden brown, about 1 1/2 minutes.
Drain on paper towel.
Serve immediately.
½ cup bottled ranch dressing (Hidden Valley is best)
¼ cup cucumber , peeled, seeded, minced
1 tablespoon milk
1 ½ teaspoons prepared horseradish
1 teaspoon cider vinegar
1 teaspoon wasabi powder
1⁄8; teaspoon salt
1 pinch cayenne pepper
Place all ingredients in dip in blender, blend well until smooth. Transfer to bowl and cover and chill until ready to serve.
