Slow Cooker Barbecue Pork Chops
What's your Super bowl plans? Are you having a big shindig, small gathering or just making some snacks and hanging with the family? I am still undecided. I will be making some snacks and watching the commercials. I don't do football. It's just not my thing. Maybe some of the family will stop by will knows! Now onto the recipe...No muss no fuss. Set it and forget it. This dish could not be easier! I love using my slow cooker. Especially this time of year. It's perfect for a busy day when I have to run the kids around.
Ingredients
6 Boneless trimmed pork chops 1-1 1/2" thick
salt and pepper
1 bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce
1/4 cup apricot jam
Directions
Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper. Mix the barbecue sauce and jam well. Spread a thin layer of barbecue sauce and jam mixture on the bottom of a slow cooker. Alternately layer pork chops with barbecue sauce jam mixture, pouring the remainder of the sauce over the top of the final layer of chops.
Cook on HIGH setting for 3 to 4 hours, or all day on LOW setting.

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to make this but am wondering when do I put in the apricot jam before or after the sauce? The recipe doesn't say this.
